Classes for Causes, Inc. facilitates fund raising for a variety of causes through teaching and learning. Anyone can sign up to teach a class and the money raised from the tuition for the class goes to the charity or cause of the instructor’s choice. It's about sharing knowledge, having fun and giving all at the same time.
Mission:
Classes for Causes’ mission is connecting people to raise awareness of, and money for causes through teaching and learning.
Vision:
Classes for Causes’ vision is to grow into an organization that is recognized as the premier network of socially minded people dedicated to leveraging education – both teaching and learning – as a way to raise money for, and awareness of, causes that make a positive impact in the world.
By encouraging people to think creatively about how to turn their time, skills and passions into creative ways to donate to causes, giving back can become an integral part of everyone’s daily life.
Our vision is to provide a unique, creative and alternative way for all people to give. Anyone can teach if they are passionate enough about the subject. We offer someone who may not have the money to donate, the opportunity to donate their time, expertise and passion instead. People are hungry for community. We all want to connect with others and share our favorite experiences. Sharing your interests, skills and knowledge with others in an environment that is not only about you, but more importantly about contributing to the greater good, will enable you to make a small difference in the world. And this difference is one that could be much bigger than what you could contribute as an individual donor.
To ensure that this vision becomes a reality, Classes for Causes:
- Connects people who want to trade their time, expertise, and teaching skills for contributions to their favorite charitable causes, with people who want to turn their investment in learning into a way to support a good cause.
- Acts as class facilitator by marketing the classes, helping line up classroom facilities, providing teaching tips and guidelines, and donating class fees to the teacher's charity of choice.
- Creates an online community around giving through teaching and learning, making donating to charities easy and fun.
- Provides another avenue of fundraising and building awareness for charitable organizations, enabling them to focus more time on the causes for which they were established.
What we need:
- Venues: If you are a local business willing to donate your space during a slow time in your business, have an extra room that isn't being used, we welcome your sponsorship to host a class and will thank you for your kind donation.

- Volunteers: If Classes for Causes sounds like an organization you would like to support and maybe you don't have money to support us, please consider volunteering. We have plenty of work to do to get the organization off the ground and are particularly looking for people to help with marketing classes, recruiting students and teachers, administrative and market research and legal advice.
